A warm and delightful week sends me searching for open-air vehicles to traverse the countryside. You couldn’t do much better than the 365 GTB/4. When it was introduced in 1968, it was the fastest production car in the world.

The 4.4-liter V12 built with six Weber carburetors produced 352 horsepower (315 pound-feet of torque) at 7,500 rpm. It accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and the top speed was 174 mph. The driving compartment stands out, with 8-gauge instrumentation and dashboard and a 5-speed manual.
