The 2022 Asian Women’s Cup kicks off with host Bangladesh playing Thailand in the first match at Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium, Sylhet on October 1. The Men’s Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates recently concluded with Sri Lanka winning their sixth title.
All matches of the Women’s Asian Cup will be played at the Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. The two semifinals will be played on October 13 while the final will be played in October. The tournament will be played in the 20-20 format as the Men’s Asian Cup.

India will start its campaign on the same day against Sri Lanka. The long-awaited India-Pakistan clash will be on October 7. India women defeated their Pakistani counterparts in their last two Asian Cup titles in 2012 and 2018. Overall, they have won the title six times. A total of seven teams participate. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates are the seven teams.
