BREAKING: Belgian Grand Prix to remain part of F1 calendar in 2023

The F1 Belgian GP is not going anywhere in the 2023 season! In a statement released to the media by the sport ahead of Sunday’s race at Spa, she said:

“FOrmula 1 can confirm that the Belgian Grand Prix will be on the 2023 calendar following an agreement to expand our partnership together. More details about the 2023 calendar will be announced in due course.”

Talking to Sky Sports F1 Following the announcement of the announcement, Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: said:

Wow F1 has already listened and kept spa

We have to congratulate the job [the race organisers] she did. I have seen the investment they have made. You see how many people come here… Incredible crowd, unbelievable interest in people, and that’s amazing. I think this sport is great. We’ve always said that racing is part of our tradition, and has a very important space in our calendar, a fact that we wanted to share at this moment.”

There were rumors that racing at Spa was in danger of being removed from the calendar for the 2023 F1 season. Next year’s calendar is expected to include up to 24 races. With new venues like Las Vegas added to the calendar, there have been rumors about the future of the Belgian Grand Prix.

“If the spa wasn’t there, I would be very upset. Monaco is tough because there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. But if you remove Spa, it’s for other reasons, not because it’s not a good track. It’s one of the best in the world, it’s an amazing race, the drivers love it and the teams love it.” They like to go there.

Button warned that F1 was moving more and more towards the display element and that he needed to be careful. He said:

“We have to be a little careful. We know that Formula 1 is a certain entertainment program and TV show [Drive to Survive on Netflix] It made it very popular in America, which is great for this sport. But we need to make sure we keep the race exciting and go to circuits that give us great racing because you’ll see happy drivers.

It’s safe to say the former world champion would be happy to see the race continue to be a part of the sport for next season.
