Candace Owens Suggests Suing George Floyd’s Family Over ‘Little PR Stunt’ Lawsuit Against Ye

Candace Owens is exploring his legal options against George FloydThe family of The measure serves as a response to their $250 million lawsuit against YE by “harassment, defamation and infliction of emotional distress”.

In the past week, roxie washington, the mother of Floyd’s daughter, announced that she is suing the artist on behalf of her son. The lawsuit says Ye’s refuted claims about George Floyd’s death are re-traumatizing her daughter for personal gain.

“They beat [George] with fentanyl,” Ye said on the podcast baby champions. “If you look, the boys knee wasn’t even on [Floyd’s] neck like that

Ye’s appearance in baby champions, full of inaccurate and insensitive statements, it caused such controversy that the show’s host, NORE, went on an apology tour earlier last week for it. Candace says she has reason to sue Floyd’s family

Meanwhile, before the lawsuit was announced, Owens applauded users online as they talked about Floyd’s family potentially suing her.

“I think you should consider how libel law works in this country,” Candance responded to a Twitter critic. “Did you know that the truth is an absolute defense against her? Did you pick up Floyd’s belongings? Didn’t Floyd say “I can’t breathe” before he was put on the ground? ‘Suing her’ is not an argument.”

And the conservative commentator added to her attack on the family’s lawsuit claims in a podcast episode. She revealed plans to determine the legitimacy of suing the family.

“I am also fed up with frivolous lawsuits. You know, if this is considered really credible, if you can sue someone because you feel ’emotionally distressed’ for coming out and saying things, then I think I have reason to sue the estate of George Floyd,” Candace said on an episode of podcast.

But Floyd’s family believes there was financial intent behind Ye’s words. His suit says the rapper “Knowingly made blatantly false statements about the death of George Floyd in order to promote their brands and increase marketing value and revenue.”

Ye’s fentanyl claims contradict 2021 murder conviction of Derek Chauvin. According to trial evidence, Floyd died after Derek restricted his oxygen supply for nearly 10 minutes with a knee to his neck, an inhumane act the world saw on video.

A jury found the former Minneapolis officer guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in 2021. In June, a judge sentenced Derek to 22.5 years for the conviction. This year, the court gave Chauvin an additional 22 years to serve simultaneously for violating Floyd’s civil rights.

Still, Ye chose to release Candace’s documentary talking points on a national platform.

Owens labels family lawsuit a ‘little PR stunt’

Regardless of the outcome of the trial, the online reaction to the fentanyl claims, or Ye’s public silence on the lawsuit, Candace went ahead with her applause. The show’s host excerpted language from the lawsuit to express her disapproval of the family’s decision.

“I have reason to sue George Floyd’s family for pulling this little PR stunt. It’s causing me a lot of distress,” Candace said. “I feel angry and upset that I am fighting to free black America from lies, while these people are fighting to keep them in the dark.”

At this time, it is unclear whether Candace has yet determined the legitimacy of a lawsuit against Floyd’s family. Ye continues to remain silent on social media about the matter and all the other happenings around her.
