Cardinals have 1 last chance to save the season

The Arizona Cardinals haven’t put themselves in a good position to make the playoffs.

Through 12 games, the Cardinals have a 4-8 record.

Even though the playoffs are highly unlikely, they still have hope if they can win.

But that starts with them playing one of their best games of the season on Monday night.

Arizona hosts the New England Patriots in a two-team battle on the outside looking at the playoff picture.

The Cardinals’ season is on the line Monday night and all the pressure is on quarterback Kyler Murray.

Murray is one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL, but he hasn’t played at that level this season.

The 25-year-old quarterback has thrown for 14 touchdowns this season in 10 games.

Along with a career-low 6.1 yards per attempt this season.

Murray needs to be more aggressive in throwing the ball downfield for the rest of the season.

He is an accurate passer with a strong arm and good shooting weapons.

There’s no reason Murray shouldn’t have a better season.

If the Cardinals can’t pull off this miraculous comeback to make the playoffs, head coach Kliff Kingsbury may be gone.

Despite leading the Cardinals to the playoffs last year, his team has had trouble recapturing that magic.

Also, Murray and Kingsbury have had many disagreements throughout the season.

The Cardinals need to get on the same page if they hope to make a late-season run.

Arizona has already committed to Murray for the foreseeable future (under contract through 2028).

Now they wait for Murray to start fulfilling his lofty contract.
