The Irani Cup is considered one of the most prestigious tournaments in Indian cricket. BCCI has done a great job of making sure all the tournaments take place. We all know that domestic cricket is the key to success for any national team.
India has a huge number of players and for them these types of tournaments are the only hope of getting noticed. The Indian cricket team recently lost the fifth test match against England which raised many eyebrows and questioned the team dynamics and process as defending 377 runs is not a difficult task.

Cheteshwar Pujara in the Saurashtra team
India’s star batsman Cheteshwar Pujara would be delighted to have been included in the squad. He has been making runs on the English National Tour and making sure to use the time as he is a specialist test batsman. The right-handed batsman had made headlines at the recent Royal London Cup decimating the opponent.
Pujara has shown World Cricket that he can be aggressive too. Pujara is someone who takes some time before playing shots and that has been quite productive for him. The right-handed batsman would be keen to help Saurashtra beat the rest of India as achieving such a feat would be great for him and the team.
Jaydev Unadkat appointed Captain of Saurashtra
Saurashtra has appointed Jaydev Unadkat as its patron. The pacemaker of the left arm in a recent interview has said that he can still make it to the India team. Not many know that he played his first Test Match in 2010 against South Africa and was considered an exciting prospect for the team.

The left arm pacemaker was part of MI for the IPL 2022 edition where it was not as effective. MI management had given him the responsibility for death cases where he failed to execute the right Yorkers for the Team. He would carry the expectations of Saurashtra in the Iranian Cup and hope that they can outperform the rest of India.
Saurashtra squad for Iranian Cup:
Jaydev Unadkat (Captain), Cheteshwar Pujara, Sheldon Jackson, Arpit Vasavada, Chirag Jani, Kamlesh Makwana, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, Prerak Mankad, Chetan Sakariya, Snell Patel, Vishvarajsinh Jadeja, Kushang Patel, Harvik Desai, Samarth Vyas, Parth Bhut, Kishan Parmar .
