An incredible Multiverse fan poster envisions the Arrowverse and the DCEU’s respective versions of Superman coming together in an epic crossover event.
the arrowverse and the DCEU respective versions of Superman Team up in an epic Multiverse fan poster. One of the most portrayed DC Comics heroes in live action is Superman, who has appeared in numerous television shows and movies over the years. When it comes to the big screen, Henry Cavill is currently the Superman of the DCEU as he returned to the interconnected franchise in black adam for a special cameo. Following the film’s release, Cavill confirmed that this is just the beginning of his new Superman chapter.
As Cavill represents Superman in the cinematic universe, Tyler Hoechlin dons the suit in superman and lois as part of The CW’s Arrowverse. After portraying the Last Son of Krypton as a recurring guest on supergirl, Hoechlin got his own Arrowverse series, which was initially thought to take place on Earth-Prime. But superman and lois Season 2 revealed that the DC drama actually takes place on a different Earth in the Arrowverse. While the Arrowverse lost several shows this year, superman and lois Season 3 is currently in production and is expected to premiere sometime in 2023.
Although Warner Bros. Discovery may not have any plans for current versions of Superman to team up, a talented fan artist, publishing under the name Art of Time Travel, is putting together the perfect Multiverse crossover. The designer shared a stunning Arrowverse/DCEU poster on Instagram featuring Cavill and Hoechlin’s respective iterations of Superman along with the Brandon Routh incarnation, who is also purporting to be the Christopher Reeve version of the DC icon. Check out the poster below:
A Superman Crossover Is Really Possible Thanks To The Arrowverse Crisis
While the DCEU and Arrowverse tend to stand on their own as franchises, the door is wide open for a potential Superman crossover. Between December 2019 and January 2020, The CW did their own version of Crisis on Infinite Earths, which served as a huge game-changer for the Arrowverse. During the multi-part event, the DCEU and Arrowverse actually crossed paths as Grant Gustin and Ezra Miller’s respective versions of The Flash shared the screen for the first time. Not only did it become one of the biggest moments of the entire crossover, it broke a barrier that now allows the Arrowverse and the DCEU to do similar crossovers, which could easily make a three-team of Superman actors.
With multiple versions of Superman currently existing in live action, a crossover featuring a group of them would be huge for DC media as a whole. Although the Multiverse has been an important factor for the DCEU in recent years, it will also pay off in The flash movie, time will tell if that concept will be part of DC Studios, which releases on November 1. Hopefully, there will be a DC project where the Superman of arrowverse Y DCEU to join forces in one way or another.
