Global solidarity needed to confront Taliban attacks on women’s rights
JOHANNESBURG, Apr 19 (IPS) – Matiullah Wesa’s crime was trying to get young people an education in Afghanistan. The recent forcible kidnapping of him by the Taliban offers the latest reminder that global solidarity and coherent action by the international community are needed to prevent the complete loss of rights for women and girls in Afghanistan.
