God of War: Ragnarök – Where to Find All Seasonal Stags

To find all of the seasonal deer during “A Deer for All Seasons” in God of War: Ragnarök, players must search the three main areas of Vanaheim.

After discovering Vanaheim Crater during the “survival scent“Favor in God of War: RagnarokPlayers can speak to Ratatoskr in Sindri’s House to receive another Favor called “A deer for all seasons.” This side quest involves finding seasonal deer, mystical creatures that can care for the Yggdrasil tree. According to Ratatoskr, the tree has grown too large, but these magical deer can graze on Yggdrasil’s leaves to keep it tidy. Therefore, It is up to Kratos to explore the world in search of these four Season Stags in God of War: Ragnarok.


To complete the “A deer for all seasons“Favor in God of War: Ragnarok, Kratos must use Ratatoskr’s special food to calm the Seasonal Deer after finding them in the wild, allowing the Ghastly Squirrels to bring the deer back to Yggdrasil safely. Unsurprisingly, the main challenge of this favor is finding the unmarked locations for each of these seasonal deer. Fortunately, all the deer can be found within the kingdom of Vanaheim. Specifically, players can encounter the creatures within The Jungle, The Plains, and The Sinkholes.

Spring The closest mystical portal to The Spring Stag in God of War Ragnarök Starting from the Mystic Gateway of The Jungle Entrance, head east and cross the river with Blades of Chaos. Open the metal door to enter a tunnel. Use the Draupnir spear inside the cave to climb onto a raised shelf. Continue along the linear path of the cave to reach the Wishing Well. The spring seasonal deer can be found near the entrance of the well.
Summer The closest mystical portal to The Summer Stag in God of War Ragnarök Go quick to The Jungle Mystic Gateway and make sure it’s daylight within Vanaheim at God of War: Ragnarok. Hop on the nearby boat and paddle along the river in a winding arc to the right. After docking and dodging through a crack, use Blades of Chaos to access a grapple point that leads to a small outcrop of grass where the Summer Season Deer is located.
Fall The closest mystical portal to The Autumn Stag in God of War Ragnarök Head to the Sinkholes Entrance Mystic Gateway of The Sinkholes, and walk along the creek to the right to come across the third seasonal deer of fall.
Winter The closest mystical portal to the Winter Stag in God of War Ragnarök Similar to the Autumn Deer, the Winter Season Deer can be found very close to The Overgrown Tower Mystic Gateway in The Plains of Vanaheim in God of War: Ragnarok.
