While most of Black PantherThe original characters returned for the sequel, one of them was noticeably missing: W’Kabi.
You know, Okoye’s husband who sided with Killmonger? The one who was literally ready to kill to protect Wakanda? If he.
Ryan Coogler was asked why the character of Daniel Kaluuya did not appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverand had a pretty solid answer.
He told CinemaBlend, “He’s basically banished, but still within the borders of Wakanda, if that makes sense. It’s a line that he’s still alive.”
In July, Daniel said about keeping his absence a secret: “If I said something, people would be really disappointed. That’s how I feel about it. I think people will be disappointed. They don’t want to be coddled. I’m surprised by what It will happen. That’s the amazing thing about the first one.”
W’Kabi does not make appearances in Avengers: Infinity War either avengers endgame either. But since we know he’s still around, hopefully we’ll see Daniel as W’Kabi again.
