KL Rahul, India’s stand-in captain, said that the availability of regular skipper Rohit Sharma for the second Test against Bangladesh will be known in a couple of days.
The second Test between Bangladesh and India will start on December 22 in Mirpur.

The first Test, which India won by 188 runs on Sunday under Rahul’s captaincy and in which Rohit, who had captained India to two ODIs from the previous series, was unable to play.
After picking up a left thumb injury while playing in the second ODI match against Bangladesh at Mirpur on 7 December, Rohit returned to India. His replacement has been named Abhimanyu Easwaran.

“About Rohit, we may be able to know (his status) in a day or two, although I am not aware,” he added. Rahul said at the post-match press conference.

KL Rahul described the team’s performance in the first Test victory over Bangladesh as a whole, noting that they played consistently and achieved good results in all areas.
