The Men in Blue would be crestfallen as they were unable to capture the key moments of the match. Skipper Rohit Sharma showed immense courage when he came up with an injured hand and nearly won the game for a billion people.

Bangladesh would be over the moon as not many gave them a chance to win a series against a power packed Indian side. Skipper Litton Das was instrumental in the first leg of it. The team showed great fighting spirit as they were previously in a precarious position at 69-6 and out of nowhere Mahmudullah and Mehidy brought the total to 271-7.

Rahul Dravid in the third ODI

Rahul Dravid was seen attending the post-match press conference and was asked about injuries ahead of the 3rd ODI. “Kuldeep, Deepak and Rohit will certainly miss the next game. I think Kuldeep and Deepak are out of the series. Rohit will surely miss the next game, fly back to Mumbai and consult with an expert and see how he is doing. Whether he can return for test matches or not, we are not sure. It’s too early to say at the moment, but certainly in the next game the three will not play.” Rahul Dravid said.

Rahul Dravid on Rohit Sharma

Head coach Rahul Dravid was asked about Rohit Sharma. “It was phenomenal. I think for him to show that level of courage. He had a severe dislocation, he had to go to the hospital to fix it, stitches in his hand, a couple of injections to go out to bat.” Rahul Dravid said.

“Because of him, he was really determined to go out and try and take a chance and it’s amazing how close he brought us with that tackle, it was an absolutely phenomenal tackle from the skipper. Great courage to be able to go out and give ourselves a chance. Unfortunately, in the end we couldn’t cross the line.” added.
