Together with him, skipper Rohit Sharma returned to his best level by scoring 53 runs on 39 balls. It looked like India would finish with a score of 160 runs, but a 25-ball half-century from Suryakumar Yadav brought the score to 179-2.

Axar Patel hits the stumps of Max O Dowd

Holland was pretty rough in the power-play overs. The batsmen were unable to assert their dominance over the bowlers. In the 5 over the captain, Rohit Sharma gave the ball to Axar Patel. Max O’Dowd’s left-arm swing wide on the second ball brought Max O’Dowd down when the batsman strayed too far from the stumps and the score was 20-2.

Crucial phase for India

The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that they have to win big to claim a place in the Semifinal. There are chances that 3 teams could be tied on the same points in the group. Captain Rohit Sharma will have to make sure he doesn’t take the Netherlands lightly, as they almost gave Bangladesh a heist.

The pattern must be Shami in three spells, as it has the ability to pick up land. On the other hand, the Netherlands should show some fight and make the Indian bowlers work hard for the wickets. It would be interesting to see if the Netherlands changes their approach or plays the waiting game.
