India Women vs Malaysia Women match preview, Asia Cup Women 2022. India Women vs Malaysia Women’s 6th T20 match of Women’s Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled to take place on Monday 3rd October 2022 at Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium, Sylhet.

Asian Women’s Cup 2022, will start on 01-10-22 and end on 15-10-22. A total of 24 matches are scheduled to be played in this Women’s Asian Cup. A total of 8 teams will participate in this Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

It was a welcome return for Jemimah Rodrigues to the national team as her best run in T20I 76, including a 92-run partnership with captain Harmanpreet Kaur, followed by a sultry show from the bowlers who helped India start their campaign in the Women’s T20 Asian Cup with a 41-run victory over Sri Lanka at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

India Women was scoring less than a run before Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur joined and helped India to 83 in ten overs after the power play.

Jemimah Rodrigues hit 38 ball fifty in her comeback game which also helped India Women set a Sri Lanka Women target of 151 in the campaign opener on Saturday. After Shafali Verma (10) and Smriti Mandhana (6) started early, Jemimah Rodrigues was joined by Harmanpreet Kaur to join a 92-run position for the third wicket. Jemimah Rodrigues scored top marks with 76 out of 53, while Harmanpreet Kaur scored 33 out of 30.

After Jemimah Rodrigues’ magnificent 76-run slam, it was Dayalan Hemalatha who made a late tackle and shocked the Lankans to the core. The latter was the bowlers’ choice, going 3-for-15 in 2.2 overs. On the other hand, Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar collected 2 wickets each.

Pakistan Women, on Sunday 2 October, kicked off their Women’s Asia Cup 2022 campaign with an emphatic nine-wicket victory over Malaysia at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Academy Ground.

Tuba Hassan, 21, was the bowlers’ choice with figures of 4-0-13-2. The Young Turk also won the Man of the Match award. Off-spinner Omaima Sohail picked up two wickets for the Women in Green.

Fast pitcher Diana Baig and left arm spinner Sadia Iqbal each accounted for one wicket. Elsa Hunter was the featured batsman for Malaysia after she went undefeated on 29 of 51 balls with three fours. Malaysia huffed and puffed to 57/9 in 20 overs. Pakistan chased the target with 66 balls to spare losing just 1 wicket to Sidra Ameen who went 31-for-23 with five fours.

Muneeba Ali was undefeated in 21 of 23 with three fours. Skipper Bismah Maroof came in and hit a four to end the process.

After falling to the UAE in the ACC T20 Championship final, Malaysia blanked Singapore 3-0 in the Saudi Cup, as Elsa Hunter led the pack with the bat. Her shooting rate of 135 was by far the best between the two teams, and alongside captain Winifred Duraisingam and substitute Mas Elysa, Elsa Hunter could be key to Malaysia’s fortunes. Right arm closer Sasha Azmi has also been in good form and was part of the last edition of the Asian Cup.
