The Los Angeles Lakers are still trying to figure themselves out and that means they aren’t done adjusting the roster, changing the rotation and making adjustments as the season progresses.
Head coach Darvin Ham doesn’t have it easy, even with the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing for him.
The team has been playing better of late, but it’s still a ways off from where it should be, which means substantial changes aren’t ruled out.
Lakers are waiving wing shooter Matt Ryan, sources say @ElAthletic @Stadium. Ryan impressed during one stint with Los Angeles, shooting 38.2 percent on 3-pointers, including a key shot in a win over the Pelicans in November. The move opens up a roster spot for the Lakers before the Dec. 15 trade date.

The Lakers shocked fans Wednesday night when they announced they were waiving Matt Ryan.
Ryan is far from a household name, but he was a young and inspiring up-and-comer who was beginning to win over fans.
He shot 38.2% of the three during the season, including a key performance that had the team coming off the bench and fans cheering from the stands.
Giving up Ryan is a bit of a surprise, but it makes sense when you consider what LA will do next.

During his time with the Lakers, Ryan averaged 3.9 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists.
He was shooting 30.6% from the field during his average of 10.8 minutes per game.
The biggest moment of Ryan’s season came when he hit a 3-pointer against the New Orleans Pelicans, forcing an overtime period and ultimately a win.
That was the time when people really took notice of Ryan, who was working for DoorDash just a couple of years ago.
It’s a shame to see Ryan go, but it makes sense because the Lakers are trying to open up roster spots before the December 15 trade date.
It’s clear that the team is contemplating making some big changes in the near future.
