Happy Wednesday, Bombers and Bombshells!
Can you believe it took me two days to recover from my All Star weekend mentoring students at Misa Hylton Fashion Academy?
Yes! The intense series offers college students the opportunity to learn and gain valuable advice from fashion industry experts including CFDA President Casandra Diggs, Kith Impact Director and Liberty Fairs Executive Director Sharifa. Murdock, celebrity stylist Wouri Vice, CEO of Native Son and Legendary. Journalist Emil Wilbekin and Sincerely! The entire show is helmed by the incomparable Misa Hylton, an iconic stylist and architect of style who essentially created the aesthetic of ’90s hip hop style through her groundbreaking work with Bad Boy artists like Lil Kim and Mary J. blige.
It’s so easy for us to get so caught up in our own personal Bomb Lives that we don’t make time to give back. I am grateful to Misa for creating this space for aspiring fashion industry learners to learn from the experts; and also a space for experts to offer part of their experience. Another generation of amazing creatives is emerging, and I was happy to witness some of them this weekend, particularly my team of trainees, @[email protected] @lewksbyazzievand @itselijahofficial.
Follow along and show them lots of love as they explore fashion photography, marketing, styling, and editing!
For the occasion, I wore a look from Belle Business Wear:
