The entire world, which evidently includes Myles Garrett and other members of the Cleveland Browns, had their eyes on Qatar this morning for the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France. Lionel Messi led his team to victory and for Garrett the debate over the greatest of all time is over.
Garrett took to Twitter to voice his opinion.
I don’t want to listen to more debates.. Messi the 🐐
He tweeted:
“I don’t want to listen to any more debates… Messi the [goat].”
There have been many debates about the best player in the history of football. It’s not as clear-cut as the debate in other sports because no one has really achieved dominance over his teammates like Tom Brady has in the NFL.
Zach Wilson’s rise to the starting position makes the Detroit Lions favorites to beat his New York Jets.
There are many different players that have been considered in that conversation, namely Messi’s counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo. For Garrett, the debate is over. Messi is the greatest to touch a soccer ball.
Did Myles Garrett win his game this week?
Myles Garrett got to watch the FIFA World Cup final in large part because he and the Cleveland Browns aren’t playing today. For the first time all season, the games were held on Saturday, and one of them involved the Browns.
The Browns faced off against their division rival Baltimore Ravens on Saturday and emerged victorious.
They won 13-3 after a dominating defensive effort. Even though it went against backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, it was still a dominating effort from Garrett and company.
How did Argentina triumph in the FIFA World Cup final?
Messi cemented his status as the greatest of all time, at least according to Myles Garrett, with an incredible win. It was perhaps the best game of all time.
The Argentine team jumped to a 2-0 lead thanks to a Messi penalty and another goal. The French responded with two goals (one from a penalty) from Kylian Mbappé in the 80th and 81st minute to force extra time.
There Messi scored again, but conceded a penalty to Mbappé that tied. In penalty kicks, the Argentines scored four shots to two of the French. Messi and Argentina won the final as a result
