This is their first visit to Pakistan in 17 years and they have not won a series there in 22 years. It is also the first time they have won two games in a row, making it their most convincing victory on the subcontinent.

They have outsmarted their hosts as cleverly as a speedy police escort lighting their convoy back to the hotel, despite the fact that even James Anderson had never played a Men in Green test before.

Ben Stokes relied on his bowlers to win the game, either remaining patient and sitting out of attack due to his sprained left knee or to see if his bowlers could win without him. Maybe it was a test and he was willing to fail as part of the learning process.

That may be giving him too much credit as a wise owl, but it worked, with Mark Wood delivering the decisive blow on the final day at 4-for-65, crushing Men in Green just when they felt they had a chance. He came too close for comfort, and a controversial incident that went in England’s favor will leave Pakistan furious after a 27-run defeat.

Twitter reacts to Pakistan’s loss to England:

The Pakistani team got off to a good start as they were able to put in 66 runs for the top position. The Men in Green were once sailing 290-5. Incredibly, England came back as Pakistan were bowled out for 328 runs as they continued to take wickets at regular intervals.

As the speedster grabbed 4 wickets and was quite ruthless in his approach, Mark Wood was the main wrecker. The Men in Green, who once again lost in crucial stages of the game, would be extremely upset with his performance.
