The English squad has been confirmed for the final Test between England Men and Pakistan, which begins on Saturday in Karachi. Rehan Ahmed, an 18-year-old making his debut in place of Will Jacks, and Ben Foakes replacing Jimmy Anderson are the two changes made by the Three Lions.
Rehan Ahmed, a teenage wonder, has been chosen to break Brian Close’s record of 73 on Saturday to become England’s youngest Test player. Before the last Test, the visitors lead the series 2-0.

Rehan Ahmed will debut

Ahmed will play in his debut test match for England, according to captain Ben Stokes, as they try to sweep Pakistan in style. Ahmed will be 18 years and 126 days old when he enters the field, breaking Close’s record from 1949 when he faced New Zealand at Old Trafford.
However, Ahmed complained of feeling unwell during England training on the day of his expected debut and was sent back to the hotel to recover. While it’s not expected to be enough to keep him from playing on game day, anything is conceivable given how many people on this tour haven’t been feeling well.

Leicestershire’s fast-paced all-rounder has seen a spectacular rise since making his first-class debut against Worcestershire in May. Although he has only appeared in three games so far, in his last summer outing against Derby, he took five wickets and scored a century.
Ahmed, who had previously performed match-winning feats for the England Under-19 team’s trip to the World Cup final in the Caribbean in January and February, caught the eye of observers in the shorter forms, first in the Blast and then in the Hundred for the Valiente del Sur.
Ahmed has long been a target for England; when he was 13, he even fired Alastair Cook at the practice nets while he was being watched by the late Shane Warne, who predicted a promising future for him. That future will begin in his father’s nation of birth, which is his family’s country of origin.
