“Nobody is holding me hostage in my house. You know, I do what I want to do like I’ve always done, so people have to believe what I have to say because, like, I’m Richard Simmons!”
And that was the last we heard from him…so far!
Interest exploded over his disappearance this week when TMZ Documentary dropped Fox And the hollow, revealing the alleged real reason behind the star’s departure from his career. According to the movie, it all comes down to the lovable character’s problems with his knees. Apparently Richard had surgery to replace his right knee that was causing him a lot of pain. When doctors told him he also needed to have his left knee replaced, he allegedly chose not to get it because the first operation was too painful for him. This eventually led to him saying goodbye to Hollywood.
The doctor further claims that Richard’s knee problems were due to a “congenital defect”, explaining that he was “born without a complete set of bones in his foot”. The condition supposedly caused “physical and emotional problems”. This looks terrible…
Fortunately, Richard seems to be doing well and enjoying his life now, as he should be! You don’t have to do a thing in Hollywood forever to stay cool!
