The New York Jets are having a wonderful season in 2022.
A fiery speech from head coach Robert Saleh has turned the Jets into winners.
However, with the Jets at 6-4, some are wondering if the team is a playoff contender.
The Jets need a change in offense to be contenders
If the Jets want to be a contender, they need a change in their offense.
This trade comes at the quarterback position, as Zach Wilson is hurting the Jets’ offense.
He escaped with one on the last trip. Now is your chance to get #NYJ in field goal range here.
19 seconds left. Figure Jets need ~30-35.

Their turnovers and lack of offensive production pressured the team’s defense to shine.
While that defense shines, the offense has been disappointing in the passing game.
The problem isn’t just Wilson though, as they lost their top running back to an ACL injury.
Breece Hall’s injury took a rookie who was gaining ground during the season.
Without him, the running game is in the legs of Michael Carter, who isn’t as explosive as Hall.
While the Jets have stellar defense, the team’s woes on offense will never be enough.
However, benching Wilson could work if Joe Flacco can lead the Jets’ offense.
He can produce better numbers in the passing game, having 901 passing yards and five touchdowns in three games.
Those numbers are better than Wilson’s 1,279 passing yards and four touchdowns in seven games.
While Flacco isn’t perfect, he is a better quarterback this season than his current starting quarterback.
With one trade, the Jets can become contenders with the defense they have.
However, staying with Wilson will knock them out of the playoffs.
