‘Sister Wives’: Kody yells at Christine and accuses her of treating other wives like ‘dirty’

Robyn questioned if Christine wanted to continue to have a relationship with those in the family that she is not as close with, like her and Meri. Christine admitted that, at the time, she still needed “space” once she moved out. “As far as relationships with other adults, Janelle and I are very close, but I’m not that close with the rest of you and for now I need it that way,” Christine admitted.

Robyn and Meri were understandably upset by Christine’s confession, and in Robyn’s defense, Kody snapped at Christine. “She’s been treating you like dirt from the start!” she yelled, heading towards Robyn. “That’s the relationship you have with her and that’s why I’m angry. That is the reason why I am angry.” To Christine, he added, “You never tried to have a very good relationship with other people and that’s why I’m angry.”

Christine quietly tried to tell Kody that that wasn’t true, but by this time, he was on his feet and ranting. “You wanted to renegotiate a relationship with me but you wouldn’t even have a decent one with them,” she said. “Accountability is what I have been asking for and here you are running away instead of being held accountable. You’re like, ‘I’m divorced.’ Leave. I’m done with you. You are out of my house. Instead of making the relationship work and trying. If you’re not trying to put your best foot forward in this relationship or family, you’re wasting your time.”

Christine insisted that she never “tried” to treat anyone badly and apologized that it came out that way. However, at that point, Kody was done with the conversation. “Thank you for coming. It was a blessing. And thank you for leaving,” he told Christine. “I’m sitting here trying to find the silver lining and I just hope it’s a blessing.” Then he turned away from the handcuffs and left.

In a confessional, Kody added: “I feel like for the last 14 years I’ve been putting up with her, trying to be a loving husband. Now that she’s gone, I felt like telling her what I think. This is not my fault. You did this. I don’t care if it’s not fair, that’s how I feel. She did this. She will go around telling the kids that she didn’t love her, but I feel like she needs to realize here with this that SHE didn’t love me.”

Once Robyn confirmed once again that Christine didn’t want to be in a relationship with wives she wasn’t close with, she and Meri left. Both women were distraught and cried in each other’s arms before leaving. “Because I’ve had issues with Christine over the years, I’ve tried really hard to get close to her,” Robyn said. “I ran into walls, rejection, just she didn’t want to discuss things.”

However, Christine was still confident that she was making the right decision by leaving Kody and moving away from the family. “I feel like some things have been said against me behind my back,” she explained. “Do I want to be friends with someone who complains about me behind my back? Not now. I think this is one of the saddest conversations I’ve ever been in. However, I do not regret leaving. I am adamant that leaving is 100 percent the right thing to do. Sorry, I’m leaving a mess behind.
