It’s a cloudy day in Atlanta this Friday. And the weather reflects the heart of the city as it prepares to bury one of his lyrical talents, gone too soon. Funeral services are underway for Kirsnick Khari Bellbetter known in the entertainment industry as Take off.

The young rapper was shot to death in Houston on November 1 while attending a private event with Quavo. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene after being shot multiple times in the head and torso. Police are still investigating the shooting, but his Quality Control label has blamed the unfortunate death.“Senseless violence and a stray bullet.” Takeoff was 28.

Just a few weeks after Takeoff demanded that his musical impact flourish in baby champions, the rapper is no longer to accept them. According to tmz, Takeoff’s funeral began at the State Farm Arena at noon local time. Earlier this week, Georgia residents could get up to two tickets through Ticketmaster.

Although photos or videos are prohibited inside the venue, people have already posted both online. Images circulating show a packed venue with family, friends and fans filling the stands.

A brochure details the service schedule, including musical selections and interludes, a video montage, poetry and scripture readings, and personal reflections from attendees. Justin Beiber is reportedly one of the music acts booked.

Takeoff’s family has asked people to donate to the rocket foundation instead of flowers or gifts, that supports programs that combat armed violence, for Page six.

Before the start of the service, street video captured the hearse carrying Takeoff driving through town.

Meanwhile, celebrities are also taking to social media to send their condolences and love as they share their family’s grief. Meek Mill took to Twitter to send prayers and apologize for missing her funeral.

Atlanta Mayor Reportedly Presents Breakout Award

According to gossip in the city, the mayor of Atlanta presented Takeoff with the prestigious Phoenix Award during the memorial service.

The outlet also claimed that Drake wept while reading a poem dedicated to the fallen artist. Additionally, the outlet said that Offset and Quavo attended the services as a united front.

“Offset and Quavo teamed up today. They both said they wanted to focus on brotherhood and family. The compensated speech was very emotional, and he could barely say anything,” gossip in the city said.
