The Dallas Mavericks faced their 16th loss of the season on Monday night, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves and dropping to 10th place in the West with a 15-16 record.
Dallas, now under .500, had a very rough night and it was all made worse by not just one but two expulsions that only do them more damage.

During the third quarter, Luka Doncic attempted to foul creating contact between himself and Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels prior to his shot.
But the whistle didn’t come for what Doncic felt was a clear foul, and he wasn’t too happy about it.
He let his feelings and emotions show and it caused him to commit two technical fouls and an immediate ejection from the game.
Then things went from bad to worse when head coach Jason Kidd took the court to try to defend Doncic.
He too was ejected from the game.
Then, in the span of just a few seconds, the Mavericks lost their best player and their coach.
And moments later, they also lost the game.
luka looking for faults
Doncic has never been one to hold his tongue when he feels a foul is due, but this year he’s been even more eloquent when arguing with the referees.
However, he is making 10.3 free throws per game, which shows that is receiving many whistles from the officiants.
But you can’t blame Doncic for getting frustrated that his team isn’t where it should be.
Jalen Brunson’s absence is definitely being felt these days and the fate of the backcourt rests solely on Doncic’s shoulders.
As your team sinks further down the rankings, you can expect more frustration to arise during games.
