PCB President Ramiz Raja lost his nerve after Babar Azam’s Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the 2022 AFC Asian Cup Final on Sunday (September 11).

In a video posted on social media, Ramez can be seen frustrated while responding to a journalist. He even lowered his mobile phone while recording.

The ex-Pakistan cricketer also asked a person in the crowd to move away from the camera, which made him feel uneasy.

In the viral video, Ramez can be heard saying:

“Aap India se honge? Aap to bade khush honge. (Are you from India? You must be pleased.)

He also praised Sri Lanka’s victory.

“Bahut acha khele hain koi expect nahi kar raha tha” (They played well, no one expected this to happen)

Was my question wrong – are pakistani fans unhappy – he was so wrong as chairman – you shouldn’t have hijacked my phone – that’s not right sir Tweet embed Tweet embed

The islanders had a terrible start after they were asked to hit first. They struggled at 58/5 in 8.5 increases, but Bhanuka Rajapaksa 71 (45) and Wanindu Hasaranga 36 (21) took the team to a fighting aggregate of 170/6 in 20 custom.

Rauf’s guard was the shooters’ pick with three wickets. Naseem Shah, Shadib Khan and Afkar Ahmed settled on one wicket each.

In response, Pakistan had a bad start losing out on Babar Azam (5) and Fakhar Zaman (0) early, leaving them at 22/2 in a 3.3 increase. Mohamed Radwan 55 (49) shared a good partnership with Iftikhar Ahmed 32 (31) for the third wicket.

Unfortunately, Iftikhar’s dismissal on the 14th led to another middle-class collapse from the beating unit. They were thrown for 147 out of 20.

Pramod Madhushan picked up four wickets for Sri Lanka while Wanindu Hasaranga picked up three wickets. Chamika Karunaratne and Maheesh Theekshana share three wickets.
