Watch: Virat Kohli gifts autographed number 18 jersey to Pakistani Harris Rauf after India vs Pakistan match in the 2022 AFC Asian Cup


Former India national cricket team captain Virat Kohli came in with a warm nod after the impressive 2022 AFC Asian Cup match between his arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, gifting an autographed Indian T-shirt to Pakistan National Cricket Team star in right arm guard Rauf.

The second match of the ongoing edition of the AFC Asian Cup was held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday 28 August, and the Indian national cricket team led by Rohit Sharma competed with the Pakistan national cricket team led by Babar Azam. .

Team India won the match and chose to run first. The Indian bowlers did a great job and managed to knock out Men In Green for 147. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4 wickets and Hardik Pandya received 3 wickets while young Arshdeep Singh carried 2 wickets and Avish Khan in one sack.

Chasing the goal, opener KL Rahul came out in search of a golden duck and captain Rohit Sharma seemed completely out of touch and was only able to score 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 35 rounds each. In the end, Hardik Pandya smashed 33 fine throws and finished the match in style by smashing six of Muhammad Nawaz’s deliveries.

After India won five wickets in the match against arch-rivals Pakistan, Kohli obligated modern-day batting keeper Rauf in the signed India shirt.

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, Kohli is seen signing his number 18 shirt and gifting it to the 28-year-old Pakistan national cricket team. The pacer was pleased after receiving the gift and thanked the former India captain.

“The match may be over but moments like this shine through. A warm gesture from @imVkohli handing a signed jersey to Pakistani player Haris Rauf after the #INDvPAK match. #Team India | #AsiaCup2022,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted on Monday , August 29.
