Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 usually host the double XP events towards the end of the week. Activision is enabling Double XP events over the weekend to help players spend more time in the game as they are outside of general office and academic hours. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 set to receive another double XP event
Activision launches some limited time (LTE) events to help players get bigger rewards for their grind. The Double XP event is one such LTE event that gives the community one of the biggest incentives. Players who log in and play Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 can earn double XP.
This is especially helpful for players who purchase Battle Passes but are late unlocking the levels due to time constraints. The Double XP event ensures that players access seasonal content within the battle pass and level up their weapons while polishing the game.
Double XP Program
The Double XP event starts one day early for all PlayStation (PS) users and then starts for all other supported platforms. LTE will reportedly start on April 20, 2023for the PS player base and April 21, 2023for all other platforms.
The PS community will only get Double XP on April 20, but will get Double XP, Weapon XP Boost, and Battle Pass XP Boost starting April 21 along with all other platforms. The Double XP event will conclude on April 24, 2023and is expected to end in 10am PT/1pm ET/ 10:30pm IST.
Players can earn Double XP Tokens by watching the Call of Duty League (CDL) Major 4 on Twitch as free rewards. It is important to note that players must link their Activision accounts to Twitch in order to redeem these rewards on their Call of Duty account.
season 3
The Season 3 update has brought a long list of playable content to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, including new maps, game modes, weapons, Operators, and cosmetics. Players can speed up their unlocking process for all items that require completion by earning XP in the upcoming Double XP event.
This can also include different missions or challenges to unlock the weapons from the previous season that players were unable to unlock in Season 2.
