Novartis Heart Drug Fails Major Trial Despite Cutting Lp(a) by 78%
Pelacarsen, an experimental Novartis drug, cut levels of the heart-risk particle Lp(a) by 78% but prevented no heart attacks or strokes in a trial of more than 8,300 patients, researchers reported on Saturday.
