ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 Points Table: Updated standings after Hong Kong vs Kuwait, Match 20

On the last day of the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup league stages, Nepal emerged victorious. They beat Qatar at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Meanwhile, at Kathmandu’s Mulpani Cricket Ground, Kuwait beat Hong Kong by 30 runs.

With their comprehensive victory, Nepal ended the league phase at the top of the Group A table. They remained unbeaten with three wins from four games and finished with seven points to their name.

Oman sit just below them in second after finishing with six points and a net run rate of 0.377. Both Nepal and Oman have qualified for the semi-finals.

Malaysia finished the competition in third place in Group A. They won two games, lost as many and scored four points. Saudi Arabia trails Malaysia in the group standings with three points to their credit after winning just one of their four games.

Qatar failed to win a single contest in the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup and finished bottom of the points table.

In Group B, the United Arab Emirates secured first place with six points. Kuwait also won three games and has six points, but the United Arab Emirates finished top of the table thanks to a better net run rate. Both the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait have sealed their places in the round of 16 of the tournament.

Hong Kong failed to qualify for the semi-finals after losing their last match against Kuwait. They finished in third position in the points table. Meanwhile, Bahrain managed to win just one game and finish with three points to their name.

Lastly, Singapore struggled throughout the tournament. They played four games and failed to win even one to end the wooden spoon in Group B.


Kuwait beat Hong Kong on Thursday to seal a spot in the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup semi-finals.

Hong and Kuwait were required to win to qualify for the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup semi-finals.

Kuwait registered 272 on the board after being asked by Hong Kong to bat first. In response, the latter continued to lose wickets at regular intervals and was eventually bowled out at 242 to lose the game by 30 runs.

With this win, Kuwait reached the last four of the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup.

In the 19th match, Nepal beat Qatar comprehensively to end the league stages on a high. Sandeep Lamichhane scored an unbeaten 42 at the bottom of the order as he helped them post 157 on the board. Qatar’s Amir Farooq picked up four wickets.

Only three batsmen managed to reach double digits as Qatar were bowled out for just 89 to lose the game by 68 runs. Lamichhane also starred with the ball, picking up a fife to help his team win the game comprehensively.
